LONELY PLANET
In a curious press release distributed at MoCCA, Forbidden Planet announces the formation of a publishing arm, Forbidden Planet Books: "We at Forbidden Planet have a mile long wish list of trade paperbacks we would like to see on our shelves. Rather than just complaining that publishers are not putting out the right books we are going to become publishers ourselves... We are thinking the Rhino Records of comics."

Forbidden Plannet has hired Richard Ashford, formerly of Cross Plains Comics and Marvel Comics, to function as Managing Editor of this endeavor.

Distributed alongide the press release was a survey form asking readers to list their favorite comic stories that "have not been collected or that are out of print," as well as their favorite creators and comic books. "And remember," survey says, "you can choose from any publisher."
