MINNIE'S MOUSE
Phoebe Gloeckner has updated her website with news of recent activites and information on her latest book. "The Diary of a Teenage Girl," a 312 page hybrid of prose, illustration and comics is now, after delays, scheduled for November release. "FOR REAL," insists Gloeckner, "Ask anybody," providing the email address of her contact at North Atlantic Books. We believe you! Additionally, Gloeckner was among 30 female artists asked to intepret new trends in menswear for the Fall/Winter edition of Vogue Hommes International. Her illustration, a study of male exhibitionism, was censored for publication; the original version is available online. Gloeckner recently completed interior illustrations for the third edition of The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex, samples of which she has also posted to her website. Gloeckner also lets slip that the topic of the Comics Journal's Winter 2003 will be "Cartoonists on Patriotism."

SPX & ICAF: STILL GOOD FRIENDS
Buried in an ambiguously titled article on Comicon.com's "Splash" page is a revelation: In the wake of SPX's planned move to Baltimore, the International Comic Arts Festival will separate from the Expo. ICAF chair Jeff Miller atributes divergent goals to the end of the programs' six year "marriage of convenience". Next year's ICAF will be held in late September on the Georgetown University campus.
