TANZANIAN COMICS EDUCATE
The BBC reports on Tanzanian comics created to educate women about legal, social and medical issues. "Comics are very easy to use, because you can use it for people of different ages, different educations," says Naomi Makota of the Tanzania's Women Advancement Trust.

DARK AND SILLY AUGUST
"Little Lit: It Was a Dark and Silly Night," the third volume of Francoise Mouly and Art Spiegelman's comics anthology series for children, is slated for August release, according to a piece in the Menneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune. The Little Lit website has been updated to preview the new volume, which will include work by Kaz, Tony Millionaire, R. Sikoryak, Joost Swarte, Basil Wolverton and others.
